Event Details

This meeting has passed.

On Thursday 7th June 2018, we were privileged to have Dr Nathaniel Jeanson (from Answers in Genesis) speaking to us. The subject of the talk is “Replacing Darwin: The New Origin of Species”.

Dr Jeanson’s profile on the Answers in Genesis website says: “Dr. Nathaniel Jeanson holds a PhD in cell and developmental Biology from Harvard University. He serves as a research biologist, author, and speaker with Answers in Genesis and formerly conducted research with the Institute for Creation Research.”

And a recent article in Answers Magazine about Dr Jeanson’s new book, Replacing Darwin, opened with, “A Harvard-trained geneticist shows how new findings have shattered Darwin’s best guesses about the origin of species.”

There will be an opportunity for questions after the meeting.

Time: Arrive at 7.30pm (for 7.45pm start)

Venue: John Madejski Lecture Theatre, Agriculture Building, The University of Reading.

Enter the Whiteknights Campus via the Earley Gate entrance in Whiteknights Road. (If you come in via either of the other two entrances then you will have a 20 minute walk via the footpath over the lake – and that assumes you know where you’re going!)

A map of Reading University Whiteknights campus can be downloaded here. On that map the Earley Gate is marked on the right of the map, and the John Madejeski Lecture Theatre is marked as builidng 59 (yellow circle). Car parks are marked in blue circles and car parks 22 and 23 are the closest.

If you are driving then there is plenty of parking available. For sat navs use the postcode: RG6 7BE, which will take you to the Earley Gate entrance. Once you are onsite take the first left and park in either the first car park you come to (car park 22) or the second (car park 23) – the second is right outside the Agriculture Building which contains the John Madejski Lecture Theatre where the talk will be taking place.
