How Vertebrate Limb Pattern Supports Intelligent Design

Event Details

We again have the privilege of hosting a talk by Professor Stuart Burgess. He will be presenting his new talk “How Vertebrate Limb Pattern Supports Intelligent Design”.

It is widely recognised (by Creation scientists) that the similar skeletal design of vertebrate limbs — traditionally called the pentadactyl limb — is better explained by a common design pattern than by evolutionary common descent.

Date: Saturday 17th October 2026

Time: 1.45pm (for 2pm start)

Venue: Kennet Valley Free Church, Fords Farm, Carters Rise, Calcot, Reading RG31 7YT

Speaker: Professor Stuart Burgess

Admission: Free

Entry is free, although donations are welcome to offset our costs. There will be a resources stand, where books and DVDs will be on sale where you can to purchase Bible-honouring, science-driven resources that will help you grow in your faith and understanding of how God’s handiwork is displayed in his creation.

There will be time after the talk for questions.

Professor Stuart Burgess is also giving a talk that same evening, 6pm, at Chiltern Evangelical Church. Please follow that link for more information. The Reading Creation Group are not involved in that evening talk, but are happy to promote it.
